While working for [Columbia Sportswear] I was fortunate enough to go on a trip to Yosemite and showcase our sponsored backpacking guides, the [Southern Yosemite Mountain Guides]. Having never been, I jumped at the chance to spend two days shooting and climbing around out in the Yosemite backcountry! I shot nearly all lifestyle footage with a Canon 5D mkii (interviews and additional lifestyle was shot by Mark Going). Matt Miadich of [Drop Tree Productions] was hired for editing.
Like most other apparel companies, [Columbia Sportswear] pride themselves on their innovations as much as their design. I created this looping video to highlight the key features of their most recognizable technologies along with showcasing how they're best used by the consumer in "The Greater Outdoors".
